11th FASU Games: Scrabble star Priscilla credits Mother for Gold Medals

Akhabue Priscilla Hallelujah, a talented student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, has attributed her success in winning two Gold medals at the African University Games to her loving mother.

Priscilla, a Mass Communication student, clinched two Gold Medals for her school in Scrabble at the ongoing 11th African University Games co-hosted by Lagos State University and the University of Lagos.

Her journey in Scrabble began at a tender age, inspired by her mother’s passion for the game.

“My mother taught me and I fell in love with the game,” Priscilla said.

“My mother taught me, and her friend gave me my first board. A coach and a church member picked me up as his prodigy,” she added.

Priscilla’s dedication and talent have not only earned her accolades but have also made her a valuable mentor and ambassador for the Scrabble community.

She generously shares her knowledge and expertise with aspiring Scrabble players, inspiring a new generation of enthusiasts.

“It’s not just about winning. It’s about sharing the love of the game with others and helping them reach their full potential,” Priscilla added.
