The Federation of Africa University Sports (FASU) is ecstatic to announce that for the first time, two of our member nations have stormed into the semi-finals of the FISU World University Football Cup. Ghana’s University for Development Studies (UDS) and Morocco’s Chouaib Doukkali University are flying the African flag high, showcasing the immense talent and power of our continent on the global stage.

Ghana’s University for Development Studies (UDS) has blazed a trail of glory, becoming the first African university ever to qualify for the semi-finals of this prestigious tournament. Their journey has been nothing short of spectacular.

In a thrilling quarter-final clash, the “Northern Star of Ghana” dismantled South Korea’s Kyungil University with an emphatic 5-2 victory.

This win was a testament to their incredible attacking prowess, having now scored an astonishing 12 goals in just 4 matches. Their performance has solidified their status as a formidable force. UDS will now face their next challenge in the semi-finals against the University of Granada from Spain.

Chouaib Doukkali University: The Unbeaten Force

They dominated Group D with a perfect record of 9 points, scoring 8 goals while conceding only three, proving their strength at both ends of the pitch.
