The 5th Afro Varsity 3×3 Basketball Challenge Rescheduled to June 2023

Federation of Africa University Sports is excited to announce the new dates for the FASU 3×3 Basketball Challenge. The tournament is now set to take place from the 22nd to the 25th of June 2023 at the Bunting Campus of the University of Johannesburg.

The FASU 3×3 Basketball Challenge is an important qualifying event for the FISU 3×3 Basketball World Cup, where the winners per gender will represent Africa. The event is open to all universities in Africa, and each country can be represented by as many universities as possible.

To be eligible to participate, a university team must be composed of duly registered students of any nationality, aged 17 and not more than 25 years.

The event schedule will be as follows: teams will arrive on the 22nd of June 2023, with the competition taking place on the 23rd and 24th of June. Teams will depart on the 25th of June 2023.

The FASU 3×3 Basketball Challenge will be an exciting event, and University Sports South Africa (USSA) is looking forward to hosting teams from universities across Africa. Universities interested in participating in the tournament are urged to submit their details as soon as possible to ensure their eligibility.
